TICKET SALES ASSOCIATE
MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES

Summary:

The Ticket Sales Associate job is a part-time/hourly sales position that will run from May-November of 2010.  There are no obligations on behalf of the Minnesota Timberwolves to offer full time employment to any or all of the Ticket Sales Associates regardless of his/her success.  The primary focus of this position is selling full and partial season tickets for the Minnesota Timberwolves via telemarketing, electronic mail, face-to-face meetings and special events while also gaining experience in the competitive industry of sports and entertainment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

-           Typical workweek will be 9:00-4:00 Monday-Friday with periodic schedule adjustments to maximize evening and weekend sales opportunities.

-           Expected to make a minimum of 100 prospecting calls per day.

-           Associates will earn $9/hr.  In addition to the hourly wage, Associates will earn 6% commission on all sales made up to $50,000 in total paid revenue.  Once $50,000 in paid revenue is exceeded, Associates will earn a $2500 bonus and 12% commission above and beyond $50,000.

-           Call on local businesses, groups, organizations and individuals with the intent of building relationships and ultimately selling them a ticket package.

-           Deliver quality customer service with every person you come in contact with to maximize the relationship and ultimately grow our season ticket base.

-           Implement sales promotion programs and literature as well as assist the organization in other various special events, promotions, and social/civic activities on an as needed basis.

-           Use Integrated Sales as a tool to help you learn more about other areas of our business while also enhancing the revenue of those areas outside of your own: Groups Sales, Premium Sales

-           Other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

-           Four-year college degree required.

-           Enjoy working in a competitive, challenging and ever changing business

-           Must have own or access to transportation for outside meetings and events.
