CORPORATE SALES EXECUTIVE
MINNESOTA LYNX
Position:   Corporate Sales Executive

Summary:

The Minnesota Lynx seek an aggressive sales executive to drive new business partnership sales.  This position is responsible for generating NEW revenue through the sale of club-controlled inventory in television, radio, and signage as well as promotions, internet, tickets and hospitality.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

-       Research, prospect, and establish leads for corporate relationships for the Minnesota Lynx, followed by an introductory fact-finding first meeting.

-       Develop corporate partner proposals.

-       Coordinate and deliver corporate partner presentations plus all related items including collateral materials, audio-visual resources, etc.

-       Generate a pre-determined level of income in new sponsorship sales (with special attention on net revenues).

-       Maximize the sale of fully integrated sponsorships in all major categories.

-       Work closely with the Corporate Services department to ensure contract fulfillment.

-       Work game days to entertain existing and potential clients.

-       Assist with various team projects throughout the year such as Catwalk for the Cure as well as other club-sanctioned events.

-       Participate and assist with additional duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

-       Four-year college degree required; marketing or related field preferred.

-       Minimum of two (2) years of sales experience required; corporate advertising, media, or other corporate sales preferred.

-       Demonstrated knowledge/proven track record of practices and principles of sales and marketing.

-       Proven ability to work with aggressive sales goals and expectations.

-       Proven self-starter with the initiative and drive to succeed in sales.

-       Proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with corporate clients as well as co-workers.
